  24.   HP did just about this much in their HP48 calculators, but "source code"
  25.   is not transferable to any other CPU.  Some companies have adapted the
  26.   HP48 itself to handle wide-ranging data-acquisition or similar purposes,
  27.   rather than use yet another specialized hand-held device, in which case
  28.   Kermit is already built into the device (which can accommodate up to
  29.   4.5 MB of internal storage, including plug-in cards).  Just a thought.
